Congratulations to MHM athlete Kelli Binzer (and her husband Keith) on the birth of their first child Brooke. At last report, mom and dad are a little tired but all are doing well.
Congratulations to Coach Kathy on her USAT All American Selection. Kathy finished the 2007 season ranked #16 in the United States.
Good Luck to Steve Uccello, Susie Wargin and Jeff Spiegel who race the 10 mile Snowman Stampede this weekend at Cherry Creek State Park. Barb Esses will run the 20 as she prepares for the Rome marathon.
Welcome to Chris Juels, Susan Johnson and Jacqueline Esquibel to he Mile High Multisport Family. Welcome back Kim Katz!!!
Take a minute to look at the following video which has been making the rounds on the Internet. Take a minute and reflect on some of the great messages you will hear. There is a full length version of the entire presentation on you tube if you are interested. A very inspirational message.
Bicycle Maintenance: We are getting to the point of the year when the bikes come off the trainer and head outdoors. It is highly recommended that each of you have a tune up on your rides to ensure everything is in proper working order. Hands down, Coach Truesdale is one of the best wrenches in the state. Many of you have used ST in the past and I'm positive will attest to quality work and service he provides. He gets very busy in the summer months so I recommend you contact him early. Don't leave the fate of your bike in the hands of some 16 year old at your local bike shop. ST can be reached at Steve@milehighmultisport.com
As we prepare to head outdoors remember safety is always more important than anything else. Obey the rules of the road. Make sure you watch and listen for traffic and leave the I-pod at home (or at least turn down the volume and leave your ear bud out of your left ear). Drink plenty of water, wear your helmet at all times and wear sun screen.
I've received confirmation that the team clothing will arrive in early March. I will notify you to make arrangements to come pick up your gear (and will mail the garments to those of you out of state) as soon as they arrive.
Be safe, live life to the fullest and remember... this is your hobby not your profession.....enjoy each and every moment and be thankful that you are healthy and wealthy enough to participate.........
Peace!!

Results and More
Congratulations to Steve Uccello on his 7th place age group finish at the Chilly Cheeks #3 Duathlon held at Cherry Creek State Park. Steve finished the 10.5 mile bike and 4 mile run in 1:01:34.Future MHM athlete Susan Johnson also competed today and placed 2nd in her age classification with a 1:08:31 finish.
Mile High Multisport team apparel is cheduled to arrive at the end of the month. I have ordered a limited amount of extras in various sizes. These will be sold on a first come basis. If there is enough interest we can talk about placing another order in early summer. There are plenty of swim jammers and womens swim suits available. Please contact coach Pete if you are interested.
Everyone should be starting to think ahead to the first few races of the season. The winter months have been spent working on limiters, improving core strength and setting a solid base of training. We are soon approaching the time of year when the intensity of workouts begins to pick up. Clean up those bikes and get ready to start heading outdoors. In the near future all this cold and snow will soon be behind us.
